ABOUT THE ADVISORY BOARD

The Employer Advisory Board is a participant in the university's internal quality assurance system for educational activities and higher education at the level of the graduating department of hotel, restaurant, and tourism business, and performs the following functions:

Provides expert evaluation of academic programs and curricula in terms of their relevance to labor market requirements, consideration of current industry specifics, employment opportunities, and the availability of sufficient practical training, among other aspects;

Participates in the development of academic programs in terms of defining program objectives, program competencies, and learning outcomes, as well as improving the content of academic programs and curricula;

Participates in the implementation of academic programs and contributes to ensuring their organizational and resource support by:

- organizing targeted specialist training commissioned by employers, including the development of individual training pathways for higher education students to meet the needs of partner enterprises;
- involving recognized professionals with experience in management, innovation, and academic work in the educational process (delivering lectures, conducting practical classes, supervising internships and qualification papers, research projects, etc.);
- organizing the defense of qualification papers at partner enterprises where the subject matter is of scientific, theoretical, or practical significance, as well as in cases where the student works at or has been placed at that enterprise;
- organizing practical training at partner enterprises;
- evaluating the relevance of qualification paper topics to the current state of graduates' professional activities;
- forming qualification paper topics commissioned by partner enterprises;
- developing the partnership infrastructure (establishing department branches, laboratories, etc. at partner enterprises);

Provides expert assessment of graduates' readiness for professional activity, including through participation in the work of examination boards for the certification of higher education students;

Facilitates the employment of university graduates (in particular, by pre-assigning prospective graduates to their first place of work);

Participates in studying the labor market demand for specialists in relevant fields (academic programs);

Facilitates the organization of professional development and internships for academic staff and university employees at partner enterprises, as well as professional development for enterprise specialists at the university;

Promotes the development and testing of effective mechanisms for cooperation between the university and employers.
